Quick answers about using HatchRite™.
Do you need to add water to HatchRite™?
No. However, adding water will increase the longevity of HatchRite™. Additional water is rarely required for most lizards and snakes, but some turtles and tortoises have long incubation times (more than 200 days).
Is HatchRite™ acceptable to use for all reptiles?
Yes! It is the perfect hatching medium for all types of reptile eggs.
Does HatchRite™ require constant ventilation?
No. But you can add small holes to your incubator or periodically take the lid off for fresh air.
Can I reuse my HatchRite™?
No. During hatching, fluids (albumin, yolk) often mix with the HatchRite™. Because this may become a source of contamination, reuse is not advised.
I incubate a large number of eggs each year. Can I buy HatchRite™ in commercial sizes?
Yes! Just let us know your needs and we will work with you on larger quantities.
